History Of Southern Homes Of The Carolinas
In 2007, Charlotte native and entrepreneur, Creigh Hill, had the vision to create a real estate firm that employed the most experienced, professional top-producers in the industry and allowed them to keep 100% of their commission.
Utilizing cutting edge technology and a low overhead strategy, Southern Homes of The Carolinas was born. Even in the lean years of recession, the Southern Homes business model kept a viable presence in a difficult market because smart brokers could still make money, even when sales were down.
One of the biggest obstacle Creigh faced was disbelief. Brokers wanted to know, “What’s the catch?” It sounded too good to be true!
But Creigh understood that seasoned real estate professionals don’t require extensive administration and mentoring. Nor do they want to pay for it. Utilizing sponsors and advertising affiliates allows special events and topic-specific training to be offered at no additional cost to brokers. Access to Brokers-In-Charge and a multi-layer support team gives brokers additional tools they need for the success of their business.
And the success continues today. Southern Homes of The Carolinas is growing in size, in volume, in locations and in market share. That’s what makes it the smart place to be.
How Our Brokerage Encourages Productivity
We offer a myriad of training and educational seminars on topics such as lead generation and social networking. We invite brokers from other companies to attend which has resulted in a useful recruiting tool. People meet our brokers and see what we’re all about. We have a large group attending our seminars and sponsors as well, including a mortgage company, pest control businesses, and local real estate lawyers to offset costs. We promote self-branding by offering personal web sites, REALTOR upgrades, virtual tour service, lead generation, and training to our brokers for free as well as many other services.
How The Owner, Creigh, Stays Involved With His Brokers
We want brokers to talk with about us with any issues that arise. I personally speak with as many as 20 brokers each day. And, I take a hands-on role in the business itself. I do a minimum of selling because I want all my energies to be directed to the brokers. I am here to give advice on your professional needs and am constantly researching new technologies to better serve all our brokers.
Our Proudest Acheivement
Late last year, we were ranked as the #1 office in Lake Norman and Concord area for both listings taken and volume sold. We competed against hundreds of brokerages in our MLS. We have achieved this distinction because of our business model and our experienced brokers.
Not only does the National Association of Realtors make this assertion but we believe that our business model is the model of the future and the place for all good experienced brokers to migrate.
